When I awoke this morning my unslack missus had left for work without waking me, presumably, I thought, having packaged the children off to school. Imagine my horror when (as I began to feel a bit peckish so felt I had to get up) I discovered that the youngets one was not actually at school but laying on the sofa in front of the telly claiming to be ill.
